Maya isn’t what you’d expect a typical twenty two year old young woman to be:

• No preoccupation with her appearance
• No major accomplishments
• No ambition

Then again Maya hasn’t had the life of a typical twenty two year old. With niceties a rarity, love traded as a commodity and beatings in ample supply; Maya is even pricklier on the inside than on the outside.

Maya’s prickly demeanour coupled with her noticeably unnoticeable eyes, her sharp right angled nose, thin lips and taut dark skin, makes her definitely someone you don’t want to cross on a good day, let alone on a bad day.
